The creation of the "LB-09" ground
intake device by the experts of
Tashkent Design Bureau of Mechanical
Engineering which was installed
on the "Luna-24" moon lander.
Set-up of the Design Bureau
of General Mechanical Engineering
branch on Sodiq Azimov
(former Zhukovsky) street, Tashkent.
The "Luna-24" spacecraft landing in the
southeastern region of the Mare Crisium
on the Moon and start of the
ground intake device operation.
The drilling depth is 225 cm.
The launch of the "Proton-K/D" vehicle
that carried the "Luna-24" Automatic Interplanetary
Station on the flight path to the Moon.
A column of lunar soil of about
160 cm in length and weighing 170 g
was delivered to the Earth.
The creation of the ground intake device
by the Tashkent Design Bureau of
Mechanical Engineering specialists which
was installed on the "Venera-14" spacecraft.
The "Venera-14" automatic interplanetary
station launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
The "Venera-14" spacecraft landed on the planet.
The soil samples were extracted using an
automatic drill and placed in a special container
for research purposes. Studies revealed that
the rock from landing site is similar to tholeiitic
basalt in the Earth’s ocean basin.
